Following the success of our previous adult learning projects, we are delighted to introduce a new set of digital skills training, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
Our four courses will run throughout the remainder of 2022 into March next year, focusing on a range of subjects and artistic disciplines; including graphic design, filmmaking and photography.
As a society we are still adjusting to life after the COVID-19 pandemic and, with the added pressures of a cost of living crisis, it is normal for many of us to experience feelings of social isolation and a lack of confidence in learning new skills and meeting new people. We hope that our free creative courses go some way to combating this by introducing engaging creative activities in a positive, communal atmosphere.
If you’re an adult from Halton who would like to learn digital skills, socialise with new people and perhaps take a first step towards a different career, these courses are for you. We especially want to hear from those who have experienced barriers to learning in the past, such as disabilities or challenging circumstances, and those who haven’t tried adult learning or digital tech training before.
The National Lottery Community Fund raises over £600m for community projects across the country, so every time you buy a ticket you are making your own small contribution to projects such as our adult learning courses.
