What We Do

Our range of workshops is as diverse as the communities we serve. From stop-motion animation to graphic design, digital art to filmmaking, coding & robotics to photography, we’re making digital skills accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, age, or abilities.

Your Role

As a Digital Creative Arts Tutor, you’ll be the driving force behind our mission. You’ll develop exciting new workshops, prepare lessons, set up classrooms, and share your expertise with learners of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it’s young people with special educational needs, adults starting from scratch, or seasoned professionals, you’ll be their guide to the world of digital creativity.

Creative & Digital Skills Tutor Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging sessions and courses focused on creativity and digital skills.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons with confidence.
  • Provide CPD training to enhance the skills of other professionals.
  • Teach a diverse range of learners, both in person and online.
  • Travel to community venues for workshops and contribute to online sessions.
  • Support our marketing events.
  • Develop lesson plans and course materials.
  • Manage workshop supplies, including multimedia equipment.
  • Maintain records and stay in touch with our clients and learners.
  • Assist with data entry and update websites and databases.
  • Share your insights through project evaluations.

Skills & Personal Qualities Required

  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle. (E)
  • Strong creative and digital art skills. (E)
  • Exceptional organisational, written, and verbal communication skills. (E)
  • Proven time-management skills and multitasking ability. (E)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a quick aptitude for new software and systems. (E)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and expertise in file organisation and cloud storage. (E)
  • Outstanding customer service skills. (E)
  • Excellent written and fluent spoken English. (E)
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring. (D)
  • A teaching qualification. (D)
  • Proven administrative experience. (D)
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and Monday.com. (D)

Working Hours & Location

  • Core office hours: Monday to Friday, 10 am – 5 pm.
  • Flexibility is required for weekend and evening work.
  • 32.5 hours per week.
  • Based in Runcorn with occasional work-from-home opportunities.
  • Travel to various community locations and venues further afield as needed.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly pay, ranging between £10.72 and £13.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Occasional overtime may be available paid at your standard hourly rate.
