Thanks to funding from the European Social Fund, we are able to provide free training opportunities in Digital Arts & Technology skills for adults aged 19+ who live in Halton (Widnes & Runcorn).
This project has been designed to enable participants to develop both creative and technological skills, as they learn about pathways into a creative career. We will be providing a wide range of exciting, engaging, hands-on and inspirational workshops, delivered by tutors who have first hand industry experience.

You will need to have basic IT skills e.g. be able to operate a smartphone, be able to login to a computer; all other skills will be taught during our sessions.
How?
We understand that everyone learns in different ways and that all potential participants of this project will have had different experiences with education in the past. With this in mind we have designed 3 levels of engagement to allow learners to join at a level they feel comfortable:
- Creative Taster Sessions – one off 2 hour sessions
- Explore Creativity in Halton – Four week course, weekly 2 hour sessions
- Boost Creativity in Halton – Nine week course, weekly 2 hour sessions
This project will open up a world of opportunities to you when you discover that you can develop the skills necessary to consider a future in the Digital Arts and Technology industry.
Creative Taster Session
2 hour taster sessions, (small classes)
The taster sessions will give people an introduction into the kinds of skills they can gain. Each taster session will be open to 10 Halton residents, meaning that there are 60 taster session places in total. The taster sessions have been designed to introduce participants to a creative digital arts and technology practise that they may have not tried before, with hands-on experience and expert guidance.
Explore Creativity in Halton
4 week course. 2 hour, weekly sessions.
The project gives participants the opportunity to engage in multiple digital arts & technology activities. The range of activities on offer include things like: Stop-motion-animation film making; merchandise making using graphic design & digital plotter. The activities will be chosen in collaboration with tutors and the participants, to ensure maximum enjoyment and engagement.
Boost Creativity in Halton
9 week course. 2 hour, weekly sessions.
Boost Creativity is here to support those that have a stronger idea of what creative field they enjoy. This course will help them to develop more advanced creative skills. This gives participants more time to focus upon and develop the skills they’re interested in, whilst still having the ability to branch out and try new things.
