We’re delighted to announce our latest project Try IT – Digital Arts St Helens, delivering free training opportunities in digital arts & technology skills for adults in St Helens starting in January 2022. After the success of similar courses for adults held in Crewe and Halton, we’re excited to be bringing these opportunities to the community in St Helens.
The Try IT – Digital Arts St Helens programme spans two 4-week courses: Photography Basics and Graphic Design Basics; and two 9-week courses Photo Editing Basics and Website Design Basics. The 4-week courses start in January 2022 (we’ll be announcing the dates for the 9-week courses in the new year).
Special thanks to our funders The Coalfields Regeneration Trust for making this project possible, due to their funding, all places on each course are free-of-charge for all participants!
It’s been a hard couple of years for everybody. Throughout the pandemic, many of us have become socially isolated and lonely, which has a knock-on effect both on our mental health and general wellbeing. Learning, socialising, and being creative are three great ways of boosting our mental health and improving our wellbeing. This is our driving purpose behind the Try IT project: to bring like-minded people together whilst learning digital art skills.
Tickets are already available for the 4-week courses, to apply visit the Digital Arts Box CIC Eventbrite. We’ll be announcing the dates for the 9-week courses soon, to be kept up-to-date make sure to follow us on social media (our links are at the bottom of this page).
