The Solution:
We ran creative wellness workshops for adults affected by cancer, combining various creative activities with discussions on symptoms and screening options. We also collaborated with Halton Cancer Support Group who provided a Cancer Support Worker to be present during all of our workshops.
To further raise awareness, we launched the Touched by Cancer podcast, featuring interviews with local community members. We then created awareness-raising animations based on the podcast episodes and used this content in a comprehensive organic social media campaign.

The Outcome:
The project was a huge success, engaging 24 local people in our wellness workshops for those affected by cancer. The Touched by Cancer podcast generated strong interest, with 83% of listeners more likely to consider early cancer screening after tuning in. Our bespoke animation series effectively conveyed key cancer awareness messages, engaging a wide audience and reinforcing the importance of early detection. The organic social media campaign reached 18,000 people, with 946 clicking through for more information on screening.

“She asked if we could identify others with similar diagnoses to meet and talk to. I feel she wouldn’t have asked if she hadn’t felt part of something special here. This shows how well this project works!” — Nicola Donoghue, Halton Cancer Support Operations Manager
